I'm Emma Louden, an astrophysicist, strategist, and speaker. I am a Ph.D. candidate in astrophysics at Yale University. I am passionate about future-focused strategy for astrophysics, engaging the public with space exploration, & applying evidence-based solutions to solve the world’s most pressing problems. When not working on my Ph.D., I focus on my STEM workforce project, Space to Sparkle, my podcast, & supporting the next generation of astronomers through the Summer Science Program.
Research
My Ph.D. thesis is entitled “The Geometry and Architecture of Planetary Systems”. I will be graduating from Yale in 2025.
I also perform research related to the intersection of space policy, the space sector, and astrophysics.
In 2023 I created the Satellite Interference Risk Index.
